Meet John “Bubba” Vandenberg
My name is John Vandenberg, but most people just call me “Bubba.” For years, I worked in a family business where my days were defined by pulling countless thousands of staples out of old, worn-down restaurant booths. My hands knew the work, but my mind knew there was a problem.
I looked at piles of discarded metal, the damage done to wood frames by pry bars, and thought to myself: there has got to be a better way. In the restaurant industry, wear and tear isn’t an accident—it’s a certainty. It’s not a matter of if your seating will need to be replaced, but when.
That realization led to years of testing, engineering, and refining. The goal was simple but ambitious: to create a proprietary system that allows for a total conversion of upholstery without damaging existing seating or requiring professional tools. That system is Faseat.
